2 medium crude mango
salt as required
2 tablespoon cashews
5 cup rice
4 tablespoon crude peanuts
2 tablespoon refined oil
For Tempering
1 1/2 tablespoon chana dal
1 tablespoon split dark gram
1/2 teaspoon asafoetida
4 green bean stew
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon ginger
2 red bean stew
8 curry leaves
Step by step instructions to make Mamidikaya Pulihora/Mavinakayi Chitranna
Stage 1
Place a skillet over medium fire and intensity oil in it. Add mustard seeds, chana dal and split dark gram. Sear them until they become brilliant. Presently, put curry leaves, green chillies, red chillies, ginger, turmeric and asafoetida. Throw well.
Stage 2
Turn the fire to low setting and add peanuts, cashews and crude mango pieces. Sear them for few moments and add cooked rice in it.
