How To Make Messy Gratin
Fixings
4 chestnut potatoes, cut into 1/4 inch cuts
1 onion, cut into rings
salt and pepper to taste
3 tablespoons margarine
3 tablespoons regular baking flour
½ teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
1 ½ cups destroyed cheddar
Directions
Stage 1
Preheat broiler to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Margarine a medium goulash dish.
Stage 2
Layer 1/2 of the potatoes into lower part of the pre-arranged goulash dish. Top with the onion cuts, and add the leftover potatoes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Stage 3
In a medium-size pan, liquefy spread over medium intensity. Blend in the flour and salt, and mix continually with a rush briefly.
Mix in milk. Cook until blend has thickened.
Mix in cheddar at the same time, and keep blending until dissolved, around 30 to 60 seconds. Pour cheddar over the potatoes, and cover the dish with aluminum foil.
Stage 4
Prepare 1 1/2 hours in the preheated broiler.
