How To Make A Seared Brussels Sprouts

6 cuts bacon, cut into scaled down pieces
½ onion, diced
1 (12 ounce) bundle new Brussels grows, managed and cut
2 tablespoons white sugar, or to taste (Optional)
salt and ground dark pepper to taste
Directions
