Different Style Dalma Recipe.Dalma is a conventional dish from the Oriya cuisine, that is made on special occasions. This curry is product of moong dal and numerous greens along with a melange of true spices. This conventional dish may be very nutritious and can be loved with rice or chapati as you like. Ingredients of Dalma

four Servings
2 potato
1 cup pumpkin
half green papaya
1 cup yam
1 radish
4 tomato
3 tablespoon grated coconut
1 tablespoon turmeric
2 tablespoon ghee
2 bay leaf
powdered jaggery as required
2 tablespoon coriander leaves
1 eggplant/ brinjal
half of cup arbi (colocasia root)
2 candy potato
a hundred gm green beans
2 green unripe bananas
150 gm moong dal
1 inch ginger
2 dashes asafoetida
1 tablespoon cumin seeds
salt as required
3 cup water

How to make Dalma
Step 1 Chop all the vegetables
To prepare this clean recipe, reduce the vegetables in large square length and hold the beans lengthy.

Step 2 Cook the moong dal
For an real taste, you can cook in a clay pot else everyday kadhai also can be used. First, wash the daal well then warmth your container and upload 3 glass of water. Put bay leaves, salt and turmeric powder into it let them boil for a minute or two. Then add the daal and prepare dinner properly.

Step three Add all of the greens inside the cooked daal
After cooking the daal properly, upload the vegetables and 1/2 cover it. After cooking for a couple of minutes add beaten ginger and jaggery (as according to your taste). After the vegetables get cooked, add grated coconut (keep some for garnishing) and prepare dinner for another five-10 minutes.

Step four Prepare the tempering
Heat ghee in a pan after which flip off the flame. Add cumin seeds and asafoetida in the hot ghee, immediately pour it into the dal and cowl absolutely for a minute. This is done, so that the flavour goes inside. Then mix it and garnish with grated coconut and coriander leaves. (Note; This tempering is made with out garlic and onion.)

Step five Tempering with onion and garlic
Heat some oil in a pan. Add hing and cumin seeds. Then 2-3 whole purple chillies and prepare dinner till crackling sound. Then, add chopped onions and garlic, cook until golden brown after which add curry leaves. Add a few coriander powder, garam masala and Kashmiri purple chilli powder for color (optional). Mix the whole thing and pour the dal into it cook for a minute then garnish with coriander leaves and a few grated coconut.
