20 Die As Heavy Rain, Landslides Hit Mumbai. Boss Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s office, in the mean time, declared ₹ 5 lakh each to the groups of the people in question. Prior state Environment Minister Aditya Thackeray, who is the child of the Chief Minister, visited the mishap site in Chembur.

Mumbai recorded 176.96 mm downpour between 8 pm and 8 am, authorities said, adding that the eastern rural areas recorded 204.07 mm and the western 195.48 mm, individually.

The deluge caused substantial flooding in low lying spaces of Chunabhatti, Sion, Dadar, and Gandhi Market, Chembur and Kurla LBS Road.

Focal Railway said that because of water signing in tracks at Dadar, Parel, Matunga, Kurla, Sion, Bhandup and different areas, train administrations on principle line were suspended among CSMT and Thane.
