Since, this system is extending northwards and weakening over Comorin region, hence rainfall activity will now decrease slightly over Tamil Nadu. However, due to the prevalence of northeasterly winds, which are mainly moist in nature, light spells of rain and thundershowers might affect Tamil Nadu. These light rains will be seen mainly across the southern coast.

Kerala, on the other hand will see spells of rain and thundershowers at some places during the next 12 to 18 hours. Only light rains may occur at isolated places. Thereafter, the rain intensity will decrease. Places like Nagapattinam, Pamban, Madurai, Kanyakumari, Kodaikanal, Tiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kochin, Kozhikode, Trissur etc may be affected by these rains.

Other parts of these states are likely to remain mostly dry and warm with mostly cloudy sly conditions. Furthermore, similar weather conditions are likely to continue during the next 2 to 3 days over both the states.
